As the title states, today is the last day of robots. We finished the team challenge and are doing one more tournament. Since we had the most wins overall (12-2), we are able to have first pick and choose who we want to compete with for this challenge. Good luck everyone!
We are modifying the program so we can have the robot complete the high stack portion of the challenge. We will also be making some other small changes to the program to increase our chances of success. Lastly, we are going to update some minor things on the robot. Good work team!
This is the second day of the individual challenge. We have to complete the 15 second autonomous challenge and the 1 minute and 45 second driver operated challenge. So far, we have done fairly well and hope to continue to improve.
Our next challenge will take place during the next class. We will be competing by ourselves to complete the autonomous portion and operator controlled portion. There will be no highest stack bonus points since we are competing alone, but there will be bonus points if we stack cones during the autonomous portion. We have to fix our programming so the robot can easily transition from autonomous to operator controlled.
On Thursday, we passed the autonomous challenge. Today, we will just be working on maintenance of our robot. The next time we meet, we will complete the actual challenge- autonomous and all. Keep up the awesome work team!
We are beginning to work on the program for the autonomous challenge. We hope to finish it all today; however, we will probably have to test the code several time until we get it right. The robot has to move on its own and pick up cones within 15 seconds. After that, we have 1 min and 45 seconds to complete the remainder of the regular challenge.
Welcome back from Winter Break team! Our next task is to complete the autonomous portion of the VEX IN THE ZONE challenge. To do this, we will have to program our robot to move on its own and pick up cones. After that, we will do the official VEX IN THE ZONE challenge.
Wednesday and today, we participated in the official challenge for VEX IN THE ZONE. We paired up and competed in the arena against two other robots. Each yellow cone was worth 2 points, the back zone was 20 points, the middle zone was 10 points and the white tape zone was 5 points with the mobile goal. If you had the highest stack in each section, you received an additional 5 points. It was also 2 points if you parked the robot successfully. We completed several challenges. Have a great Winter Break everyone... see you in 2018!
